On June 22, 2019, the China Bay Area Chief Economist Forum was successfully held at the Shenzhen Finance Institute. Leading chief economists and experienced senior experts from around the world spoke at the forum on “Global Economic Challenges and Wealth Management Strategies”. The forum was jointly organized by Shenzhen Finance Institute and the Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen) and the platform of high net worth individuals and the quality life. BNY Mellon Investment Management Ltd. and AVIC Trust provided support. 

During the forum, Shenzhen Finance Institute held a ceremony for the appointment of visiting professors. Ding Anhua - chief economist of China Merchants Bank, Guo Zhiyi - managing director as well as head of corporate and business development in Greater China of BNP Paribas, Qiao Jiying - managing director of the insurance fund, Shen Minggao - chief economist of GuangFa Securities, Sun Mingchun - investment director as well as chief economist of Bohai Capital, Wang Xiangshen - CEO of Belos Capital (Asia) Ltd. , and Zhang Jie - executive director and CEO of Shanghai Electric Hong Kong Co., Ltd.  was hired as a visiting professor at the Shenzhen Finance Institute.

Professor Wang Jian, Assistant Dean of the School of Economics and Management of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen) and Director of the Macro Financial Stability and Innovation Research Center of the Shenzhen Finance Institute introduced the theme and agenda of the forum.

Subsequently, Professor Xiong Wei, Academic Dean of the School of Economics and Management of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen) and Academic Dean of the Shenzhen Finance Institute, delivered an opening speech and expressed a warm welcome to all participants and expectations for the success of the forum.
